2 Definition – einfach erklärt

Die beiden treten zueinander, nehmen eine Tanzhaltung (Ballroom-Hold) ein und drehen sich als Einheit im Uhrzeigersinn – mindestens vier Taktschläge lang.

Zum Abschluss dreht die Dame nach rechts aus, bis beide in dieselbe Richtung schauen – als Normal Couple, meist zur Mitte.

Aussprache: „Swing” [ßwing] – „Swing Your Partner / Your Corner”.

4 Original-Definition (englisch)

Starting formation: Facing Dancers (Man and Woman). Dance action: Dancers step forward and slightly to their left, use a ballroom hold, and rotate clockwise as a unit for four or more beats. As dancers end the swing, the Woman continues turning to her right until she faces the same direction as the Man. Ending formation: Normal Couple, usually facing into the set.
