1 Ausgangsformationen

• Static Square oder ein Right and Left Grand Circle (Herren in Promenade-Richtung).

2 Definition – einfach erklärt

Die Paare gehen als Einheit im Kreis um das Set herum – gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, linke Schulter zur Mitte (Promenade-Richtung).

Angesagt wird ganz · ½ · ¾ oder „Home”. Bei „Keep Walking” laufen sie weiter, sonst drehen sie am Ende als Paar zur Mitte ein.

3 Tipps & Hinweise

• Standard-Handhaltung (CALLERLAB): linke Hände vorn gefasst, rechte Hände in Skater-Position darüber.
• Bei „Heads/Sides Promenade ½/¾” rücken die anderen kurz zur Mitte, um Platz zu machen.
• „Promenade Home” = zum Heimatplatz des Mannes; oft mehr als ¼ herum (v.a. in Singing Calls).
• Am Ende oft ein Twirl der Dame – rechtzeitig zum Ankommen abschließen.

4 Original-Definition (englisch)

A promenade is a walk around the set. As a unit, each Couple walks a circular path around the center of the set in promenade direction (counter-clockwise, left shoulders toward the center). On “Promenade Home” the Couples end at the Man's home position, turning as a unit to face center. Timing: 1/4: 4, 1/2: 8, 3/4: 12, Full: 16.
