Ein kleiner Schritt vor und zurück – ein „Wiegeschritt”, der die Verbindung zum Nachbarn spürbar macht, ohne die Formation zu verändern.

Die Hände bleiben die ganze Zeit gefasst. Am Ende steht man wieder genau wie vorher.

Aussprache: „Balance” [bälänß] – „Gleichgewicht / wiegen”.

4 Original-Definition (englisch)

Starting formation: Mini-Wave (also Ocean Wave, Alamo Ring). Dance action: Each dancer steps forward on one foot, using moderate tension with adjacent dancer(s), and pauses while bringing the other foot forward and touching it to the floor without transferring weight. Each dancer steps back on the free foot and pauses while touching the other foot beside it. Ending formation: Mini-Wave. Timing: 4.
