Facing Couples Rule

1 Worum geht es?

Einige Calls, die aus einer Ocean Wave definiert sind, dürfen auch aus Facing Couples starten.

Die Tänzer treten dann zuerst in eine kurze Right-Hand Ocean Wave und führen den Call zu Ende. Beispiele: Swing Thru und Spin the Top.

2 So wendest du sie an

• Bei einem Links-Call (z. B. Left Swing Thru) tritt man zuerst in eine Left-Hand Ocean Wave.
• Gilt nur, wenn die Call-Definition ausdrücklich einen entsprechenden Hinweis hat – sonst nicht.
• Das Gegenstück ist die Ocean Wave Rule (Facing-Couples-Calls aus der Wave).

3 Original-Definition (englisch)

A few specific calls that are defined to start from an Ocean Wave are also proper starting from Facing Couples. Examples include Swing Thru and Spin the Top. In these cases, the dancers first step into a momentary Right-Hand Ocean Wave and complete the call.
